Warning! Income Tax Return Scam
Had a couple of these recently, one offering me a Income Tax Refund, but the grammar of the message let it down, I won't say what the errors were as I don't want to help the scammers improve their scams. The second which was sent from a really long email address, possible to obsure the fact that it was NOT sent from gov.uk started off with HM-AccessServer-CustomerTaxRefund-UserInfo8882alana followed by a Canadian domain - jumponline.ca.
This second one was also in Thai or some other language! There was also a HTML part to the message which had a link to the Government Gateway website which actually linked to visionsprings{.} com and not gov.uk and it was also addressed to an email address, not to me by name. All signs of a scam!
